The NYU Radiology Alumni Society aims to promote an enduring relationship among alumni, present trainees, and the radiology faculty and to assist in the continued development of the educational mission of the NYU Langone Department of Radiology.

Lauren S. Levy- Resident ’96, Breast Fellow ’97

Lauren S. Levy, MD graduated SUNY Downstate Medical School Summa Cum Laude.  She did her internship in medicine at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical School, which included two months at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Dr. Levy completed her four-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1996 and one-year Breast Imaging fellowship in 1997 at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.

Dr. Levy currently is a Breast Imaging Specialist practicing at Lenox Hill Radiology (LHR) in New York City since 2018. Prior to joining LHR, she had been practicing radiology in Bergen County, New Jersey for 20 years, as a partner at Radiology Associates of Ridgewood and at Valley Hospital, where she served as past Associate Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.  She specializes in Breast Imaging, which includes mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast biopsies, and Body CT Imaging.  Dr. Levy has a special interest in high-risk breast cancer screening.

In addition to practicing radiology, Dr. Levy has participated in many community outreach programs including lecturing on breast imaging for the community, for referring physicians and for technologists and staff.  She was one of a few physicians involved in drafting the New Jersey Dense Breast Legislation, which mandates that a patient be informed about her breast density on her mammogram. Dr. Levy had been a member of the Breast Cancer and Imaging Options Workgroup of New Jersey under the Department of Health. Dr. Levy is currently serving as the president of the NYU Radiology Alumni Society.

Dr. Levy is married to Dr. Ron Aboody, an NYU Radiology alum (residency 1994 and Neuroradiology fellowship 1995), and they have two adult children together. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Levy enjoys hiking, kayaking, boating and skiing. She spends her free time on the Jersey shore with family and friends.

Anuj Tolia- Resident ’06

Anuj is a partner and practicing radiologist at Montclair Radiology in NJ. He graduated with a degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and attended New York University for medical school and radiology residency. Anuj joined Montclair Radiology in 2007 following completion of a combined MRI fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of several professional societies and has served as a consultant to various healthcare management organizations over the years. 

 

Anunita Khasgiwala– Resident ’18, Neuro Fellow ’19

Anu graduated from the Boston University 7-year dual degree BA-MD program.  She completed the NYU radiology residency (’18) and neuroradiology fellowship (‘19).  She is currently working as a Neuroradiologist at the NYU Long Island Division.  Anu enjoys traveling the world with her husband, latin dancing, and cooking with friends.

Sean Pierce- Neuro Fellow ’01

Sean D. Pierce, M.D., is the Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Hackensack University Medical Center, the Acting Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Pascack Valley Medical Center, the Co Chair of the Department of Radiology at Palisades Medical Center, and the Chairman of the Department of Radiology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall.

Dr. Pierce’s subspecialty in radiology is neuroradiology, with an active interest in oncology and demyelinating processes, in addition to head and neck and spinal imaging.

Dr. Pierce is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, with a certificate of additional qualification in neuroradiology. He is a 1994 graduate of Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his training in diagnostic radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Missouri in 1999. He subsequently completed his neuroradiology fellowship at New York University School of Medicine, New York, New York in 2001.

Katia Dodelzon– Resident ’13, Breast Imaging Fellow ’14

Dr. Katia Dodelzon graduated from NYU’s Diagnostic Radiology residency in 2013 (chief resident 2011-2013), after which she completed NYU’s breast imaging fellowship in 2014. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Radiologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus. In addition, she serves as the Associate Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology residency program and the Breast Imaging Fellowship training program at Weill Cornell.  Katia is interested and actively engaged in curricula development and teaching techniques to better equip residents, fellows and medical students for the evolving nature of the field of Radiology; as such, she is leading a department-wide initiative on patient-centered communication using a state of the art simulation lab, a project for which she was awarded the Wolk Healthcare Leadership Fellowship at Weill Cornell.  

In addition to actively engaging in clinical research focusing on evolving breast imaging techniques, Dr. Dodelzon is the subject editor of Clinical Imaging, a frequent reviewer for Journal of Breast Imaging and Journal of Nuclear Medicine, an involved member of the Society of Breast Imaging CME committee as well as an ABR question editor/reviewer. She resides in New York City with her husband and two children.

 

Amita Kamath– Body Fellow ’10

Amita Kamath is Associate Professor of Molecular, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. She currently is the Program Director for the diagnostic radiology residency program at Mount Sinai West, the largest diagnostic radiology residency program in New York State, comprised of 44 total residents, 11 per year. Dr. Kamath was instrumental in facilitating the recent merger of this residency program with the Mount Sinai Beth Israel radiology residency program (effective July 1, 2018), and has spoken nationally on the subject of merging residency programs. She is also a leader in the radiology community specifically in regards to placenta, pelvic floor and hepatobiliary research. She is a member of the Disease Focused Panels of the Society of Abdominal Radiology of Pelvic Floor Disorders, Education/Outreach committee of the ACR LI-RADS, Hepatocellular Carcinoma Treatment Response, and Uterine and Ovarian Cancer, and has given numerous national presentations and authored numerous peer-reviewed articles pertaining to these areas of interest. Dr. Kamath also serves as a regular manuscript reviewer for Clinical Imaging and Abdominal Imaging and is an active ACR and ABR question editor/reviewer. She recently joined the Faculty Development committee for the APDR and looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding on how best to equip our radiology educators with appropriate teaching skills for the next generation of radiology trainees.

Shari Siegel-Goldman- Resident ’96, Breast Fellow ’97

Dr. Shari Siegel-Goldman completed her 4 year residency in Diagnostic Radiology at NYU after which she completed a Breast Imaging fellowship at NYU which she finished in 1997. Immediately after fellowship,  she took a position at Hudson Valley Radiology Associates in Rockland County, NY where she has worked as a partner in the practice for the past 23 years.  She serves as Director of Breast Imaging in both their private offices and at the Breast Center of Montefiore Nyack Hospital.   She has a passion for women’s health and has participated in countless community outreach and informational programs over the years in the Rockland and Bergen communities. She is an advocate for breast health and as worked with state legislators educate the public about the the Dense Breast legislation.

Dr. Siegel-Goldman graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and completed her medical training at NYU School of Medicine where she did research with Dr. Balthazar which opened her eyes into the field of Radiology.  She did a transitional internship program at St. Vincents Hospital . 

She is a resident of Tenafly, NJ where she lives with her husband,  Dr. Jeffrey Goldman (NYU Residency Class of 1995) and their three children.   Outside of work, Dr. Siegel-Goldman enjoys traveling, long walks with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Rita Yeretsian- Resident ’08

Dr. Rita Yeretsian graduated from NYU’s Radiology Residency class of 2008 (Chief Resident 2006-2008), after which she completed NYU’s neuroradiology fellowship in 2009. She is currently a practicing radiologist and general partner at Summit Radiological Associates, providing radiology services for two of the largest provider networks in the region. Dr. Yeretsian has shared her passion of radiology with over 10 years of residency classes, and was named Attending of the Year in 2014. In addition to her broad scope of neuroradiology practice, she is the lead radiologist for the Lung Cancer Screening Program and serves on the Incidental Findings and Critical Results Committee. Prior to NYU, Dr. Yeretsian graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as Alpha Omega Alpha. She graduated summa cum laude from Brown University. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and three children.

Richard Do– Resident ’08

Dr. Richard Kinh Gian Do (NYU Residency Class of 2008, Body MRI Fellowship 2009) is currently an Associate Attending in the Body Imaging Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where he also serves as Research Director for Body Imaging, and MRI Safety Medical Director for MSK. He is a member of the ACR LI-RADS Steering Committee and chaired the Tumor Response Working Group. His research interests include radiomics and machine learning in oncologic imaging. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Dr. Julie Wang, and their two children, Eric and Emily, who were both born during his residency!

Robin Prasad- Resident ’01

Robin graduated from MIT with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering then attended McGill University for his MD and MS in biomedical engineering.  After internship at Tulane and residency at NYU, he completed an MRI / Neuroradiology fellowship at Jefferson.

In 2010, Robin co-founded Lexington Radiology in central PA and served as chairman until he stepped down to focus on entrepreneurial endeavors. He continues to work part time for the same practice which is now UPMC Altoona. In 2016, he received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Prasad has a life-long passion for entrepreneurial endeavors.  He is currently a managing partner of Bold Brain Ventures, a collaborative investment fund that brings together radiologists, capital and AI innovators to advance AI in radiology.

Over the past 15 years, he has been heavily involved in real estate investment and early stage business development / investment. He has been a member of Blue Tree Allied Angels for nearly a decade. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association. These affiliations have allowed him to assess hundreds of early stage companies. His experience with early stage companies, real estate investment and founding a radiology practice has been personally and professionally rewarding. On a personal note, Robin enjoys time with his wife and their two children. His main hobby is playing the drums.

Craig Bearison– Resident ’23

Craig grew up in Tampa, Florida and went to college at Duke University before completing medical school at NYU. Craig is currently a radiology resident at NYU and is undecided about what he wants to subspecialize in at this time. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and playing soccer. 

Sindhoora Murthy- Resident ’23 

Sindhoora was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. She attended Johns Hopkins University where she double majored in Applied Mathematics and Biomedical Engineering. She completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis and returned to Maryland for intern year. Her current academic interests include machine learning and the interface between radiology and pathology. She enjoys mixing music, singing, learning languages, editing videos, and dancing in her free time. 

Eduardo Pascual- Resident ’23

Eduardo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Duke University, earning an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. He made his way to NYC, graduating from medical school at Columbia University and completing an internal medicine preliminary year at Mount Sinai West/St. Luke’s Hospital. Eduardo is now excited to be part of the NYU radiology family, where he hopes to advance interests in education, radiomics, cancer imaging, and artificial intelligence. Eduardo is an avid tennis and squash player and also enjoy hot yoga and salsa dancing. 

Stacey Wolfson– Resident ’23

Stacey Wolfson is originally from Long Island and studied at
Duke University for her undergraduate degree.  She attended NYU School of
Medicine and has stayed at NYU for both her intern year in medicine and
radiology residency. Stacey is a current diagnostic radiology resident and
class of 2023. 

Alexandra Millet- Resident ’21

Alexandra Millet is from Houston, TX. She completed her bachelors degree in biology as well as her medical doctorate at Howard University in Washington, DC. She is planning on completing a fellowship in Breast Imaging. She has an interest in education, diversity and inclusion as well as healthcare disparities. In her free time she enjoys spoiling her chihuahua “Blue.“

Jeffrey Huang- Resident ’22

Jeffrey Huang was born in and grew up  in Chesterfield, MO. He studied neuroscience and economics at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed medical school at the New York University School of Medicine. He is studying to become a Neuroradiologist. His research interests include head and neck tumors, artificial intelligence, and multiple sclerosis. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and tinkering with gadgets.

Sarah Rosen- Resident ’22

Sarah graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2014 and completed two years of categorical residency in general surgery and two years of a T32 research fellowship in surgery at Columbia University Medical Center before starting her radiology training at NYU in 2018. Her current interests include resident wellness/education, body imaging and interventions. She lives with her husband, Matt, their dog, Max and cat, Sassy in Hoboken, NJ, not too far from where she grew up in Ridgewood, NJ.

Kevin Chu- Resident ’22

Kevin grew up in West Windsor, NJ and studied physics at NYU. He completed his medical degree at Rutgers NJMS and is excited to be back in NYC with his wife, Erica, and adorable corgi, Lulu. He is planning on pursuing a fellowship in Body or MSK imaging. Kevin is a recreational chess and basketball player who keenly follows the NBA and NFL. He also enjoys traveling with his wife and, together, solving their way out of escape rooms in the cities they visit.

Nainesh Parikh– Resident ’15

Dr. Parikh’s clinical interests include treating patients
with advanced malignancy utilizing minimally invasive techniques. Specific
areas of interest include liver directed therapy for primary and secondary
liver cancer, as well as for primary kidney cancer. Additionally, Dr. Parikh is
interested in treating malignant and non-malignant tumors within the GU system,
such as prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia, respectively. Dr.
Parikh earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York
City, and subsequently worked as an investment banker after graduation. After
deciding that he wanted to have a significant impact on the daily lives of
patients, he obtained MD and MBA degrees from Tufts University School of
Medicine in Boston, MA. He then completed diagnostic radiology residency at NYU
Medical Center in New York City, before moving back to Boston to complete a
fellowship in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at the Brigham and
Women’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School.

Eugene Won– Resident ’19

Eugene grew up in
Great Neck, New York and studied at Williams College in Massachusetts. He
completed medical school at NYU with a joint MD/MS degree, and subsequently did
his preliminary medicine year at North Shore-LIJ. He returned to NYU for
radiology residency.  

He is currently
doing a fellowship in abdominal imaging/cross-sectional interventional
radiology at UCLA. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, rock climbing, golf,
and photography. 

Gina Campagna– Resident ’97, Chest/Breast Fellow ’98

Gina Campagna has been in West Texas since 2004. She is a graduate of UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She did a Transitional Year at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ before attending NYU for residency. After completing residency, she remained at NYU for fellowships in Mammography and Thoracic Imaging. She is currently a partner at South West Medical Imaging in Midland, TX, a private practice group associated with Midland Memorial Hospital. She spends 90% of her time as a breast imager and 10% as a general radiologist. She feels fortunate to be practicing radiology in the “oil patch” of West Texas, a truly unique environment.
